Because it seems to with me. I had a fish supper last night & now I honk of fish from the minge region. It's horrible!
I've noticed this before. Please tell me it's not just me?

Don’t worry, it happens to heaps of women after eating fish. Not any probs with your va j j. Trimethylamine accumulates in your system as the conversation in your liver doesn’t take place and the smell remains, concentrates in your urine and “stains” the skin around. Only lasts 24hrs usually. Every woman in my family line on my mothers side has noticed it. Doesn’t mean you are u healthy or have to worry about it - just know it will be there when you eat fish. Legs crossed in company and any close up intimacy in that region avoided for 24hrs 😜

Can't believe someone has posted this, I wanted to the other week but couldn't believe anyone else would have this!

YES!

We had cod the other week and afterwards I definitely smelt like fish. Happens with prawns too

😬🙄

FENAF · 22/08/2023 21:31

Definitely not you! I have it and my little one got it too 😢

Absolutely normal for some people including me. I do not have any fishy smell except the day after eating certain fish and I was appalled at everyone else's reaction. It is caused because your body is unable to process the fish or something in the fish that you cannot process.

Yes the same happens to me and I'm 49 so it could be menopausal..its so embarrassing with my husband 🤣😢

Jesus. This is a 7 year old thread. Why resurrect it to just give some very late advice?

Because there may be others with the same dilemma looking for answers and this could be useful. Why not ignore it it bothers you?

mackthepony · 03/06/2024 01:51

It's definitely true

Worse with cod

GiddyDenimCat · 21/07/2025 22:56
