Menstrual Blood Not Flushing Down Toilet

I have heavy periods, heavy so that most of it is gone in two days and leaving the house during those two days is near impossible.

The last 4 periods I've had though, the blood won't flush! It typically takes 3 flushes and a load of bleach to make it go away each time.

Is this something normal that people just don't talk about? I can't find anything after an internet search. I don't know if I should be concerned or if its just part of getting older.

FYI any other bodily fluids etc. are flushing away perfectly normally so I don't think its the toilet.

They should have looked into why it was like that, TheArticFunky. It's not always a case of do nothing, they do this with fibroids and the fuckers just grow and make you bleed until you're anaemic. They can do procedures and give medication to shrink them now so it's stupid to do nothing, knowing they will grow and cause problems.

I'm not surprised you're nervous. I still worry that mine won't stop or that I'll just flood. I'm still using sanpro, even when I don't have a period, because I'm worried all the time.

Hi there, the same thing happens to me. I usually take it as a sign that it’s time to take some baby aspirin (81 mg tablets daily) for the next couple of days to a week. Sometimes our blood clotting factor increases. A baby aspirin will help with thinning the blood.
