Hi sans the general Anaesthetic thread is simply titled that but is quite old now so a few pages back.
The fear of hospital / surgery thread is fairly recent.Apols I can't seem to link both.
The GA thread is excellent as an anaesthetist posted some helpful comments on there.
Look forward to your pm.

I'm in a similar situation, sanschoc - hating hospitals and due for major surgery in a couple of months. I haven't actually been able to read everyone's comments because they'll make me too anxious! Blush I have only had to stay overnight in hospital twice before: once with DS1 who'd broken his arm and once when I had DS2 by caesarian. Each time I went into 'work mode' - i.e. I pretended I was at work, behaved slightly distantly, was super-polite, and acted as if it was a long meeting with colleagues (including some difficult ones!) that I just had to get on with and 'handle'. That made it manageable for me. If you have a job like that, perhaps you could try this too?
