Does anyone else find it uncomfortable when you are riding a bike?

Am I doing something wrong?

(all else fine btw and thank you again for your schluuuuuurpy encouragement)

Have a practice at taking it out without the stem and then cut the stem off - it's the only way to get it feeling completely comfortabke ime (such as it is, first AF with one this month).

Don't grip it too hard though when you pull it out - I did this and had an unfortunate spillage incident when it suddenly pinged out at high speed . The trick is to wiggle it a bit and slide your finger up the side to break the seal then jently but firmly pull it out.

According to dh I have a bucket fanny though so if you are a little, erm, less slack then you may find it more difficlt.

To all those non-mooncuppers going at this, it's like anything, it takes getting used to but once you get the hang of it there's no going back. I've yet to speak to anyone who regretted buying one, although some people have taken a couple of af's to get used to it.

NQC, it just felt like it had got turned around or maybe come out and it was rubbing (I think sort of walls and labia). I got home expecting to have had a major disaster and have to get changed but all was well and it was still where it should be.

It is just fab otherwise, I haven't had any problems

I am not the sort of person who gets used to new things easily, so please don't be put off if you are reading this - if I can do it any bugger can

Cheesy, I have already planned ahead for the potential of unfortunate pingages (which are bound to happen at work or in friend's house while wearing white t-shirt, don't you think?)

I plan to rush out saying "Sorry, nosebleed, got to go"

Ugh, that sounds unpleasant. I can't stand discomfort there. I was expecting some, I first tried biking with it yesterday, but it was totally fine, probably more comfortable than a tampon.

I'd give it another try next AF with biking?

It's not bugging you the rest of the time?

FrannyandZooey · 10/08/2006 13:34

Nope, I could maybe feel a sort of something the first day, and wondered if I was going to end up sore and needing to trim it, but other than that it is fine. The bike thing has not had any lasting effect, either, it just felt uncomfortable. But then I have a bionic fanjo.

Sorry can't really help

I tried one of these and end up almost hysterical because I couldn't get it out (couldn't seem to reach it and get a good enough grip). I was worried I'd have to go to A&E and was embarassed- so stupidly tried using a pair of TWEEZERS to get a better grip and ended up cutting myself - owww. The trauma of the whole experience put me off mooncups forever. Pity as they seem a really good idea in theory, I am just too scared to try again.

Mind you it was before Ds was born, and as there is a whole lot more space in there now - maybe it would be easier - hmmmmm !

Bionic fanjo? Is that some kind of very high-spec racing bike?
