Please help...16month old DD pulled ladder on top of herself

I got home from work this afternoon to find my 16month old DD with 2 black eyes. My cousin has her while i'm at work and apparently she pulled a ladder on top of herself. However the white bit of her eye has now got a big red what looks like blood patch on it. My cousin got the nurse where he works (in a care home for special needs adults) to look at her and she said that its nothing to worry bout but i just want some advice as to if i should take her to the doctors or anything. Just need to add... the ladder isnt normally kept out but my cousin was using it to put up the cctv camera in DD's room n just popped to the toilet.
Any advice would be really appreciated.
TIA x

I'd call NHS direct they are great. The fact that you have come on here to ask what to do means that you are not 100% sure she is O.K. and I always think that if you are not 100% sure, you should check. Hope she is O.K.

Thank you very much. I'm not 100% shes ok, she wasnt totally herself this afternoon seemed quite tired even though she had a longer than usual sleep this morning, also she didnt really want to walk anywhere which is very unusual for her as she hates going in her push chair n has always walked when we are ot since she was 11months old. Should i call NHS direct now or see how she is in the morning do you think?x

Call now, dont wait they wont mind and you will feel better. if you are nto happy after the chat you can always go to the doctors as well. They might tell you to go to the hospital so if you are not alone get your other half to get a full change bag ready including bottles.

If you feel bad, call now. You've got nothing to loose and everything to gain. I called once for a bang to the head and they asked a very comprehensive list of questions about how DS was. They were very reassuring. They didn't recommend I do anything but I slept well that night.

Sorry i didnt get back sooner. Shes fine, she seems alright in herself she just looks awful. They said that she should be fine just keep an eye on her, but she seems her normal self now, although she seems a bit cautious around my cousin but then im probably just being paranoid. Thank you for all the support and advice you all gave me, really reassured me x
