anyone waiting for a breast clinic referral?

My GP referred me today - she said it should be two (or occasionally three) weeks. The 'thing' is in my armpit - it aches & is a bit tender, more thickened than a lump. She's prescribed antibiotics, I am trying very hard not to freak out. Can't get ideas of inflammatory breast cancer out of my head.

Also like others have said it's standard procedure to be refered by the gp with any lump at all now as they only feel have a small amount of experiance in breast care the specialist at the breast clinic told me. I guess it's like if you have a problem with your ears that needs further checks you are referred ENT.....try to think of it like a full mot rather than googling symtoms (I know it's hard!) X
