Has he been to the doc as you always should report new or changing moles especially red coloured ones.

MamaG · 03/08/2006 13:03

No he hasn't - I'll book him in. Don't know anything about the red ones

Strawberry marks (strawberry haemangioma) occur in infancy and usually disappear spontaneously during childhood. What do your dh's moles look like? Are they bright red or darker? Could they be cherry angioma?

Greensleeves · 03/08/2006 13:09

info here - there are loads of sites with info about them, if they are cherry angioma. Hope it helps.

I have a cherry angioma (didn't know it was called that) on my knee. It's about the size of a peppercorn and quite raised. I hate it but am used to it now. Just have to be careful not to cut it when I shave my legs as it bleeds loads then.

I have a few smaller ones in various places and have had new ones appear but never thought anything of it.

My mum has them too.

Thanks ever so much Greensleeves, they look just like that, a great help. He does have a liver disorder and I note that they can be an indication of liver damage.

Its def put my mind at rest.

Good

I've got quite a few little cherry angiomas, most of which I've had since childhood. I think they are quite cute!
