i find myself worrying for something all the time, then panic. i know most of the time the things i worry or fear are unlogical but i cant stop myself and i cant make myself accept its unlogical-i dont need to worry. if one worry stops another starts, it seems i dont give myself any peace which is very hard. what does that mean? am i depressed? all i want is to recover and work. how will i manage that?

Possibly, but you could just be a worrier, I am, and I think once you become a mother it is worse.

shebnem · 02/08/2006 19:02

do you do anything for it waterfalls?

it's not depression, it's anxiety

go ask your GP for some cognitive behaviour therapy

i feel myself like in a hole now, i cant bring myself up.

No, not sure you can do anything, I worry about what could happen today, tomorrow and in 50 years time, I imagine all sorts of things.

shebnem · 02/08/2006 19:04

i want to work and i dont want such things to go to my records, so i fear to go to gp about that.

I suffer from bad anxiety so huge sympathies. I am on ad's that really do help. I also go to the gym 4 times a week and that has helped keep my anxiety under control too.

Try doing as Cappucino suggests, ADs may not be needed.

Cappucino · 02/08/2006 19:25

I can't see that going to your gp is going to affect anything

I went to mine and I work

just go get some help, it's not anything to be ashamed of

Shebnem - anxiety and depression ARE two different things, though anxiety CAN be an avenue into depression, but it isn't automatic. What are the things you get anxious about?
