Can't actually believe this is happening to us it's so typical. We had 2 miscarriages between having our three gorgeous kids dp also has three from previous relationship and we are sure our family is complete. He is supposed to be going for the snip. And now we've had a misshap of contraception and just found out am pregnant. We can't afford another really feel we have enough and I don't think I could cope with another so close so if I ask gp for termination will we have it? Really don't have money to spare on going private? Also if first doctor says no am I able to ask a different Doc?

Sorry to hear you felt rough today uri I just want this over before it feels any more real. I know it's nice and early right now. Doc came round and has arranged it for me. I have confided in one friend so have someone to talk to- have scan Friday after this-feels like forever to wait! Just hope they can start the process that day. Does anyone know if they will? Or if I have choice of surgical that might be quicker and over and done with in one go.

Hi Pikle just wondered how things are. I'm booked in for the termination on Friday. The consultation was ok. The nurse very kind and sensitive . I didn't know I had to have a scan and that was the worst bit. I obviously asked the sonographers not to make any comments and they were very considerate. I'm going for surgical with local anaesthetic as opposed to general which is a little more uncomfortable but there are fewer risks than with a general, feeling quite ok about it all i suppose, after a few very down days last week. Just want it done now.

Hope you're ok Smile

I know you are stressed but...

'he's a man they don't ever get it do they'

that is somewhat insulting to him if he is a decent chap.

BTW every child a wanted child and I fully support your right to choose.

Allow a hormonal woman going through a shit time to make a bit of a generalisation every now and again would you?

Thinking of Pikle and Uri tomorrow. Hope you don't have to wait around for too long.

How far gone are you? If its les than 10 weeks I think you just have the pills and would have a very very bad period etc if it's more than 10 weeks you have to have surgical, you can have it in Cardiff awake but I was told I would have to go to Birmingham to be out under general anesesthtic (was private clinic but funded by nhs )
You will have initial consultation and then go back a few days later for the procedure.
You will be emotional, I couldn't stop crying even though I knew it was the right decision
