I'm embarrassed to say, but piles

I developed piles before I was even pregnant (no idea how, I first noticed that cycling was uncomfortable) but of course it is much worse now I've had a baby. Am to embarrassed to go to my doctor as the only female doctor at my surgery is really completely useless. Can anyone recommend anything? I get bleeding when going to the loo and it's very painful, reminds me of use baby making his appearance ;)
Thank you

DH went to see a botty doctor about persistent bad piles. Recommended Normacol. Bulking agent that softens stools. Giving his bum a break from the harder poos and the straining did the trick, and they really had been around for some time. Worth a shot.

Hi! Just wanted to add when you go and talk to a doctor, ask if the thd method is an option for you. I'm with you. Had already hemorrhoids before the pregnancy and after I had the baby it was just unbearable so I had them removed. The good thing with this method is that it can be done ambulant and the healing time is quite fast which means you can go home to your family afterwards and you're back to normal pretty fast. I guess as a mum that's the most important thing. And as you saw you're definitely not alone with this problem, so no reason to be ashamed! Good luck
