Where to buy a good first aid kit?

We have a baby in the house so I think we should have one. I'm a first aider and have always had access to large workplace kits so don't think we'd need a massive one, just a compact one with the necessary bits.

Have no idea where to look, any recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

I got mine from boots I think.

Take a look at some first aid kits, then buy the stuff youneed in boots or Traci and a box/bag to hold them. Most first aid kits are plasters, bandage, pins, tape and a pair of scissors, but you pay a lot for them. Ours is large plastic "lunchbox", filed with things we would use...
plasters, bandage, pins, tape and a pair of scissors
Antiseptic word and powder, tweezers, eye bath, various creams (antiseptic, insect nite), worm tablets (!!). We just add to it things we used over the years, and restock.
Apart from some basic things you will need with children (99% of "emegencies" with children can be fixed with calpol, a sticking paster and/or a big cuddle!), it is more important to know what to do, so I would highly recommend a first aid course.
