DS just took a picture os dd (5 months) using the digital camera with flash right next to her face!!
The warnings say must be one metre away as can damage infants eyes. She was looking right at the camera.

Try NHS Direct or contact your local ophthalmic department. Better safe than sorry.

Called my local a & e for reassurance but they said need to bring her in .Arrrrgh.
She seems absolutly fine but they want to see her.

Good luck Hercules, hope they can put your mind at rest. Remember that the warnings on consumer products often err on the side of caution...and that NHS Direct often recommend A & E for the same reason. Let us know how you get on.

bossykate · 04/03/2004 18:39

good luck - i'm sure it will be fine. both nhs direct and a&e depts are v. v. v. cautious when it comes to dealing with infants.

squirmyworm · 04/03/2004 18:41

good luck hercules - at least they'll be able to put your mind at rest

Freckle · 05/03/2004 06:55

How did it go in A & E, Hercules?

Evita · 05/03/2004 09:52

Any news, Hercules?

Thanks for asking. We didnt get home until midnight as we had to wait for a second opinion from a specialist but she is fine. Needless to say we wont be letting ds take pictures of dd again!
