Had anyone been seen by them ? After ds(12) suffering his second severe migraine in 2 weeks I am getting desperate. He is seen by a paediatrician but she seems to have run out of suggestions to help him.

DS1 went through a phase of getting migraines, very severe ones, up to 6-8 times in a month in his pre-teens and early teens.

The paediatrician who we saw said it was quite common. He was put on Beta-blockers, Pitzotifen as preventers and took pink Migraleve when he was suffering. He, also, took Ondastrone when he was sick, because he had Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome too.

I suffer from Severe migraine too. I get around 15 a month, I have just had Botox. I see a consultant in Leicester who, my GP said, is the leading migraine specialist outside of London. I don't know if that is true or not.

I haven't been to the London migraine clinic, but was referred some years back to a local specialst migraine clinic (possibly King's - can't remember). Anyway, the point is that when it comes to migraines, specialist advice is the way to go. There's a huge amount of knowledge and possible solutions out there and no one should suffer this horrible condition without expert help.

From what I've read, the London migraine clinic looks great, and they will be on top of all the research and up to date approaches.

Yes, I've been and they were great. I agree that specialist advice is the way to go. I had seen four of the top neurologists in London before seeing them, and they were the only one that helped me. Good luck
