Normal is 35ish and mine was 71. I had it done cos of bloating and back pain.

Have already been referred for a scan but it's not come through yet. The doc said it could be high due to endo (unconfirmed endo) or something else and she doubts it is cancer cos of my age (35), but obviously I am worried.

She said that the result can be in the hundreds and if that were the case, they would be getting me seen right away. She doesn't feel it is that urgent., and we can wait and see what the scan says.

Just wondered if anyone else has any experience of this.

@over60 have you asked that they test it or asked for further investigation? If not, do so. I have requested tests before now. If they won't and you are genuinely concerned you could arrange a private consultation with a GP and get a referral to the appropriate specialist, but that's as far as I know about that.

Also, just looked it up and apparently CA19-9 isn't diagnostic of pancreatic cancer, rather the success of treatments after diagnosis (and there's no blood test for it they say). www.pancan.org/facing-pancreatic-cancer/diagnosis/ca19-9/#what
