she is a bridesmaid this weekend as well, ad i want her skin to be sorted so she isnt too uncomfortable in the bridemaids dress with 8 layers in this heat. doesnt look infected, but looks very sore and is very itchy.

can i get aveeno on perswcription?

currently using balneum bath oil, is there a 'better' one out there?

also tried double base, diprobase and dermol and nothing is touching it atm.

oilatum for the bath I had it on prescription when I was a kid. I presume she has a steroid cream to help take it away hydrocortisone?

I used to react to the ointment but ok with cream so watch for that. I am sure aveeno is avail on prescription it is in that bit of boots iykwim.

oilatum on dry skin then a quick shower nicer than bath too less sore.

hth a wee bit anyway.

Oh sorry Misdee bet you've gone by now but yes you can get Aveeno on prescription.
You could try Body Shop hemp cream though. I use the hand one on Tilly - really greasy but good.
It's def the time of year for flare ups eh?
Hope she enjoys being a bridesmaid - give her a bit of anti hist in the morning maybe to stop her getting too itchy??

Glad you got something misdee! I also react badly to e45 stuff. The oilatum stuff is lovely for washing my skin used to get really sore after contact with water and this rubbed in beforehand then rinsed was fabulous.

Hope you get sorted out!

laundrylover · 25/07/2006 14:09

Lots of excema sufferers react badly to E45 it seems.
Slap on that Aveeno and steroid and hope it clears up a bit for the wedding. Is Peter going to the wedding?
