My DP's memory loss is really starting to worry me and i'm scared its going to get worse. Its difficult to get him to go to the doctors for anything, being a man and all that. If anyone has an suggestions on why this could be hapening I'd really appeciate it I might be able to convince him more if I knew what to say about it!

Lately he's been working on a fish tank and building a stand, he'll put something down and forget where he put it almost instantly. He keeps getting names mixed up. This is just from me witnessing his actions. He also be talking to me and just stop half way through a sentance? He also has loss of patience and get frustrated really quickly. He also doesnt seem to have clear thinking and cant seem to talk and do something at the same time either. I would say its down to personality but it happened gradually and is slowely getting worse.

Just this morning and he put his baccy somewhere then forgot where, he got so angry about it. Not for the loss of his baccy but because he couldnt remember.

Ive asked him if he has any other symptoms or anything else he feels is unusual about himself and he said he gets very loud sharpe rining in his ears 4 days put of the week which then causes headaches. He also finds trouble sleeping until about 3am.

Any suggestions?

How old is he?
Anything going on at home/work that he could be worrying about?

It sounds to like he should see a doctor as a matter of urgency. If you cant persuade him to make an appointment I would speak to your own doctor about it. Whatever is causing it, nothing will be improved by waiting and worrying. Ask him to do it for you if not for himself.

He's only 21. And nothing I can think off. He lost his job abiut a month ago due to work stress (it was a horrible place, I was convincing him to quit as it was, hated how stressed he was) he's currently waiting to hear from a course to see if he got on it. But he seems fine and happy. Keeping himself busy and job searching a lot. It just seems to be difficult for him because he forgets everything so easily! :( I'm worry if he does manage to get working again it will affect his work seeing as its affecting him quite a bit just at home!
