How to help adult dd with pms

Anyone got any up to date ideas on helping dd with pms,
rather than just tlc and tough it out?
She's recently moved away from home, so stress isn't helping but she is getting very tearful and solitary during the 10 days before she's "on".
Her moods are really starting to get in the way.
Is it worth seeing a doc?
I feel odd asking for opinions at my age, but any advice would be welcome. Thanks

Gosh, there are a number of options these days, she shouldn't just have to tough it out! Pills, contraceptive implant, erm another thing on prescription whose name escapes me.... She should definitely go to the GP and not minimise the effects it has on her, they can help!

Thanks for the reply, I did wonder that I was being a bit too stoic.
We don't have very sympathic docs, and the effect is "only" emotional, so I wasn't sure what to advise beyond practical stress releivey stuff.

Definitely get her to the doc.

Also, I used to suffer as a young adult and found that a vitamin b6 supplement seemed to help. Then going on the pill sorted it completely.

Evening primrose oil and B vits helped me much more than I thought they would. They were suggested to me by a gynae consultant who I saw because it had got so bad. The only other alternative offered was the Pill, which doesn't agree with me. I left disappointed with the consultation but taking EPO and B vits really did make a difference, to my surprise. It's not an instant cure though - you need to stick with it for a while to see a difference.
