When would you worry about headaches...

Until I had children I never had a headache in my life however during my pregnancy with DS2 I had swine flu and since then (and possibly fatigue) I have been really susceptible to headaches. 6 months ago I had my first proper migraine and for 3 days I could barely function. It was really horrible and my GP referred me to a neurologist. Neuro said that it was a migraine.

For about 3 months I have not had a bad headache then last night I had a stabbing pain at the front of my head for about 10 minutes. When the initial pain wore off I had pins and needles down the side of my head and pain until I went to sleep. I felt alright when I woke up this morning but now my head is starting to hurt again.

At what stage do I start to worry about this headache and go to my doctor.

With anything to do with your health anything unusual for you needs checking out sooner rather than later. I get a lot of headaches and always have so wouldn't bother my GP unless it had hung around for a while. That's me though and I know my usual headaches are nothing to worry about.

It's not going to hurt if you go and see your GP.

If it is different from normal pattern I would see GP. Better to get it checked out.
