I've had two episodes of what Dr Google tells me is gallstones. But I'm also losing weight without trying (first time ever) and have almost a constant nausea feeing.

Anyone had gallstones and care to share? I've booked a GP appt for next week but don't know hat to expect.

I'm also not hungry..

Funky pigeon. I haven't had gall stones, but I am glad you have made an appointment with the doctor. You sound as if something is up. You could suggest they do a full blood test and possibly a scan. Don't be fobbed off. Good luck and let us know what happens!

I would get incredibly nauseous at the peak of the pain, then water/ fluid would pour out of my mouth. The pain would then stop, quite quickly. Although i would feel quite ill & weak for a while.
Was told by my consultant that this was quite typical.
You will need an ultrasound to confirm it's gallstones.
Wishing you the best

Mine gave me severe pain after eating rich food. I felt sick with pain and breathless. The attacks lasted a couple of hours then stopped suddenly and I felt 100% normal straight after. I also got referred pain in my shoulder blade. I was lucky to have private medical but had to really fight with my GP to get an ultrasound.

Best of luck xxx

Pain, pain and more pain. Those were my symptoms. No nausea. Attacks didn;t come on after rich food (though always after eating and always at night (the theory was lying down shifted the large stone I had and started the attacks) worst one started at 10pm and stopped at 7am.

I didn't have a problem getting refered to a gastroenterologist by my GP, gastro said almost instantly that he thought it was gallstones (though it could according to him have been two other things) easily diagnosed by ultrasound.

I asked him what made him so sure that it was gallstones (I thought I had an ulcer) and he said that the way I described the pain was absolute classic gallstone symptoms.

I have them, pretty much the same as kewcumber.
Absolute agony. No nausea or vomiting. Just sheer intense pain. And im not a wimp. Had a 4 hour tattoo done and barely flinched. Honestly remember saying a few times i wanted to die just so i wouldn't have to feel the pain again.
Like i was being crushed in my back and chest. In the last year it has spread to pain in my shoulder.
Finally having appointments to get the damn thing out in the next month or so.

Took me ages to get diagnosed due to me not fitting the normal criteria. I had none of the symptoms you mention though.
You will have blood tests and an ultrasound to confirm it.
