So this is about my 6th time to get it this year. I'm currently under the duvet with chills, dizzy spells, and feels like I'm swallowing razorblades.

I don't think it's enough for a tonsillectomy and I don't want one if given the choice anyway!

I have 4 DC to look after so please if anyone knows of a lifestyle/dietary/supplement/homeopathic tip they can give me to get rid and stay gone, I would very much appreciate it!

I had mine out about 4 years ago, best thing I ever did! I used to get it about 4-5 times a year then I had it 4 times in a row with a week between episodes so doctor referred me to ENT who advised getting them out but gave me the option.
Horrible recovery but really worth it.

GP should be giving you 10 days of penicillin V, NOT amoxicillin. See the NICE guidelines on bacterial tonsillitis!
