Hot baths and eczema

My eczema is currently not very good and infected. I'm freezing cold and the only way I can think to warm up is a nice hot bath. I know they are not the best idea with eczema but would a ten minute soak in my oilatum do any real harm?

I realize you'll probably have your bath by now, but figured this might be helpful anyway.

I've always found that a warm, but not boiling, bath with bath stuff for eczema (aveeno, oilatum etc) in it can be a massive help with my skin and really helps to retain moisture.

It does help if you put moisturizer on immediately after the bath while the skin is still damp. Also baths with just water and no bath emollient are pretty drying, I would never have a bath without putting oilatum in it.

I certainly wouldn't have thought a quick soak would do you any harm.

Thanks Lorelei12 I did have quite a hot bath in the end but did use my Oilatum. I was a bit itchy afterwards because it was a bit too hot, but put my cream on straight afterwards. At least I smelt clean for once. Eczema is infected at the moment and it smells. (I'm the OP btw I nc)
