Yep they are indeed wonderful things, I wish that I had known about them as a teen!

Theoldhag · 07/11/2013 17:15

Ps it was mn that pointed me in the right direction.....gosh seems such a long time ago now.

Marrow · 07/11/2013 17:24

They are great! Had to use a tampon the other month as period came a week early and caught me out. It really was horrible and I couldn't wait to get home and use my Mooncup.

Mattissy · 07/11/2013 17:29

I had one but lost it, I dread to think where and when it'll turn up or who will find it!!!

OneStepCloser · 07/11/2013 17:33

I can only use my at night as it doesnt seem to want to stay in during the day and I end up walking like John Wayne, probably too old and too many kids! But..... the nighttime was when I really suffered, and the difference is amazing, I love it even just for that.

thelittlemothersucker · 07/11/2013 17:34

Is it good for really heavy floody periods?

MummyBeerest · 07/11/2013 17:36

Hells yes! I got one a few months ago and don't shut up about it to anyone who will listen.

Though mine's called Diva Cup.

MummyBeerest · 07/11/2013 17:37

Shit posted too soon...is Moon cup exclusive to the UK?

Ughughugh · 07/11/2013 17:40

Thelittle - my heavy and very floody periods have calmed down since using a mooncup, I can only imagine it has had some magical effect, as my periods have always been heavy.
I don't get the cramps I used to either.

thelittlemothersucker · 07/11/2013 18:43

Coo ...

MaeMobley · 07/11/2013 18:54

do you all use it on it's own? I can't quite trust mine so still use a sanitary towel.

BadgerBumBag · 07/11/2013 20:53

I am using mine on its own but will let you know what happens when I have my implant removed and go back to floods. Hopefully it will lighten them, fingers crossed!!

I really do feel like shouting from the rooftops!!! Amazing and so clean and comfy!

Yippee!

I do feel gutted that my mum didn't discover them for her painful periods before her hysterectomy, I think she would have loved it

I love my mooncup! This month my period was two days with no period pain - amazing! I think there must be a gentle suction which makes it all painless/quicker!

newtonupontheheath · 07/11/2013 20:57

Can you tell me some more about it? I'm really suffering with my first period since dc2 was born last year and am seriously considering it. Have seen it mentioned on mn before and always thought "not for me" but now.... Hmmm...

BadgerBumBag · 07/11/2013 21:00

Try it Newton, it's fab. You can also get cheaper versions if you don't want to fork out lots.

trainersandcake · 07/11/2013 21:16

newton mine did take a couple of periods to get used to but it is genuinely brill. Clean, hygienic, comfy, healthier than thick wads of cotton in your fanjo!

Take a look on Amazon at reviews - they are not for everyone but I love mine!

newtonupontheheath · 07/11/2013 21:29

Thanks, I will. Amazon? Who knew.

BigArea · 07/11/2013 21:32

I've just ordered a Meluna (blue glittery medium size with ring if you are interested in the future contents of my fanjo Grin ) based on advice on another thread - am now actually looking forward to my next period!

BadgerBumBag · 07/11/2013 21:46

He he big! So was I!
