Eczema - Is dabbing on Tea Tree oil any help?

I haven't done this in case it's a big no no or might hurt.

Dd has a bad patch on her arm. I keep using the steroid cream and diprobase. It gets slightly better then flares up again.

Excema has turned into impetigo here in the past and I'd do anything to avoid that again. Would Tea Tree help do you think?

Hello again,

Not sure, it might sting.... but use an aloe plant on my dd's eczema and it's v. soothing and works well. You just cut a chunk of plant off and squeeze gel on affected area, and can store pieces of it in the fridge in cling film. hth. Also, germolene cream with local anaesthetic cream is great for this... available at supermarket/chemist.

sorry, the cream I mentioned is an all in one type not 2 separate things...

Aww, no probs.... know what it's like when all these things hit at once.... felt utterly mis at one point when once had dd and me with flare up of eczema, cat flea outbreak in house, mice(yes even with 2 catslol), and to top it all headlice.... aah those were the days.
Good luck!

The best thing I've ever had for eczema is Eumovate cream, you can buy it over the counter at pharmacists, its the strongest steroid cream you can get without prescription, but I get eczema and psoriasis and it works really really well. I thnk tea tree may cause it to dry and crack???
