My bits are in tatters. Possible TMI. Help needed

BitsinTatters · 30/10/2013 20:07

I've name changed. Am a regular.

Right then- back story - I've had genital warts in the past. First had them when I went through a horrific time in my life. Discovered that my DP had been shagging around and had given them to me. Nice.

I have thrush. I think. My bits are on FIRE and itch like mad. This has been going on for weeks. They are red raw. I made the mistake to look with a mirror. fuck don't ever do that

I have a tiny wart - I've had the tingle feeling that I recognise from before and it's definitely there.

Oh fuck. In for a penny. I can't have a poo without "helping" with my thumb inside my vagina and pushing the poo out. I hardly ever have any sensation that I need to go.

I had a bad unstitched tear after the birth of my last baby. I now have folds of ripped vaginal tissue around the opening of my vagina. They get sore and irritated easily.

Please help

I think you need to see your GP.

Have you taken any OTC remedys for the thrush?

LineRunner · 30/10/2013 20:12

Ok, you need to see your GP and talk through a plan of action.

You need a gynae referral for the issues around your tear and rectum, I would guess, and the other issues could be dealt with via a walk in sexual health clinic if you have one in your area.

Carpe diem.

BitsinTatters · 30/10/2013 21:09

Yes using over counter thrush stuff but its not doing any thing

Do I get in my car right now and drive to tesco to get the pessary?

OP posts:
atomicyoghurt · 30/10/2013 21:18

Yes get the pessary I always need that anyway. The other thing is it could not be thrush but be that other thing you get when the ph is wrong. Sorry that's not helpful.
If I were you I'd find an open pharmacy and ask a pharmacist and then get you to gp about the rest of it when you aren't actually so itchy and miserable and can talk about it.

atomicyoghurt · 30/10/2013 21:19

I'm sure you can get this sorted, the GP will be sympathetic I'm sure. But get to a pharmacist tonight.

SquirtedPerfumeUpNoseInBoots · 30/10/2013 21:20

Well, I would try anything if it's like you describe!
Do you have a nearby sti place you could go to tomorrow, while you wait for the next available gp appointment?
This isn't going to get better by itself, all of these things need seen to, and you need to be proactive about getting help. Not waiting for them to go away and your head in the sand.
Flowers I know it's sore and embarrassing.

whereisthewitch · 30/10/2013 21:23

Definitely the pessary!

As for the rest please see your gp, I lived with a prolapse for a year before plucking up the courage and when I did the relief was epic!

Sorry for your worries. ..us poor women eh?

IDoAllMyOwnStunts · 30/10/2013 21:30

Link to gynie Mumsnet thread please come and post for help/advice here

The above link is full of women with similar problems you mention. Please get the thrush sorted, it wont sort itself out unless you go and get something stronger from the docs. Ask for A referral to a gynaecologist for your pooing problem too - in the meantime come and join us on the above thread for help and support.

Have a Brew and Cake to cheer youeself up. x

thecapitalsunited · 30/10/2013 21:40

Could you have herpes? I believe that makes you go red raw downstairs.

Either way, you need to see a doctor if you've been sore for weeks now. And certainly for the issues with pooing and the badly stitched tear. Don't be embarrassed, they've seen it all before and can almost certainly help. Please don't suffer in silence.

BitsinTatters · 30/10/2013 22:13

I've been to tesco. I have the pessary & cream. Am smothered.

I can't see my GP. he's delightfully gorgeous & oh god I can't.

Herpes? I had a full STD screen after sbxH and I've had babies with new DP since.

BitsinTatters · 30/10/2013 22:15

Re herpes - I don't have those symptoms. Have just looked at NHS website

OP posts:
SquirtedPerfumeUpNoseInBoots · 30/10/2013 22:17

Well, see another GP then. Or decide if 10 minutes embarrassment with someone who has seen it all before can start the process to get it sorted.

JustThisOnceOrTwiceOrThrice · 30/10/2013 22:19

Why wasn't it stitched?

BitsinTatters · 30/10/2013 22:27

Don't know why it wasn't stitched - she told me ( the MW) that it was a small tear but it took over 8 weeks to heal / stop constantly hurting. Basically has left me with 3/4 ragged flappy bits on and around the openin of my vagina inside my labia

OP posts:
JustThisOnceOrTwiceOrThrice · 30/10/2013 22:31

Mine isn't quite the same either. When i cough i can feel it all move down. Is that normal after babies or do i need that seen to?

Anyway, your poor sore fanny!

payhisdebt · 30/10/2013 22:58

go to your local sexual health clinic

BitsinTatters · 30/10/2013 23:01

Do you think I have an STI?

OP posts:
LineRunner · 30/10/2013 23:04

You said you have a wart. And they will be able to prescribe for the thrush. They will help.

plipplops · 31/10/2013 11:58

Can you make an appt to see a different (lady) GP? I have a bit of a history of dodgy bits and saw loads of doctors at our surgery, the ladies were definitely more helpful as I think people are (understandably) reluctant to show their male GPs, so the ladies have more experince of dealing with things like that.

atomicyoghurt · 31/10/2013 12:48

Ask to see a lady gp! God I wouldn't want to show my male gp my bits either. I was excruciatingly embarrassed to bump into the surgeon that stitched me up first time round too tight and have him smile and refer to me as one of "his ladies" Yuk.

Lady gps tend to be more sympathetic.

KareninsGirl · 31/10/2013 16:26

You poor thing, sounds like you're really suffering.

Herpes will not show up during a full sti check u less you are displaying symptoms. The only way to discount it is to have a swab of the lesion. I only say this because not everybody's outbreaks are the same and the fact you described it as 'tingling' made me wonder.

I'd go back to your gp/gum clinic and let them have a look.

Best of luck x

CMOTDibbler · 31/10/2013 18:22

I'd go to the GUM/STI clinic - they are the experts on sore bits and can zap the wart. You'll see a female nurse or dr too.

theboutiquemummy · 31/10/2013 18:40

Try diflucan it's a tablet and caneston combi pessary and cream

Sounds like you are getting bacteria transfer with all the "helping" antibiotics and a gyne appointment to discuss your options

thecapitalsunited · 31/10/2013 19:23

KareninsGirl, thats what made me think herpes too. A friend of mine described one of her bouts in similar terms and I know its not detectable unless you are actually having an outbreak.

I hope you get your troubles sorted, BitsinTatters.

tak1ngchances · 31/10/2013 19:28

OMG you poor darling. Any GP or clinic will be full of sympathy and will have dealt with all of these things before. I have had ishoos similar to yours (although not as bad) and so I know how awful and depressing it is. Please get help
