Apologies in advance for not describing this very well.

For the past month or so I've had these weird, random sensations all over my body. It's not exactly like pins and needles. More like as if someone has a small group of fine needles and they're piercing the skin. I react as one would an itch, but it's definitely not an itch.

It can happen anywhere on my body, not 24/7 more like an hour "episode". There are a few spots where it's repeated- left nostril (I know..) various points on hands and even in my eyes Confused

It's not painful as such but it's annoying because it looks like I'm itching randomly and I'm conscious of it.

Can't say it's when/after I'm doing xyz, just random. I'd feel a bit silly going to GP as there's nothing to show and it's difficult to describe!

Grateful for any suggestions. Off to bed now, will check tomorrow so not ignoring Smile

Think you will need to go get checked out! Too many possibilities of what it could be.... Anxiety, medications you are on (too much levothyroixne affects me a bit like this), nervous system problem... Any other symptoms or medical conditions?

Thanks Ruby.

Not on any medication (take st.johns wort though). No medical problems I'm aware of at.present. Stumped. Guess if it gets worse I'll have to see GP. Seems weird and trivial though!

I had a similar sensation to the one you describe.

Mine was in my chest and it became painful to wear a necklace or t-shirt.

It turned out to be a symptom of vitamin B12 deficiency - sorted out by a couple of B12 injections.
