Ie. Liquid Paraffin, Meduin-chain triglycerides, etc etc

Last wk someone argued with me that Liquid Paraffin strips the skin of its outer layer and then mosturisers underneath? I thought it was just a moisturiser? I keep googling but i am yet to find a decent website which lists em all....

Liqiud parafin is, afaik, just liquid parafin. It stops water leaving the skin, as it fors a semi impermiable barrier to water.

All moisturisers work in the same way. you can't put water back in your skin, you can just stop it leaving
