yes it's fab, I've had athletes foot for longer than I care to remember, tried lots of other products without success, but that got rid of it and after a month or so it's still clear.

honeyflower was that the once stuff that you used? I am desperate to try it but am breastfeeding just now so have to wait....

honeyflower · 27/06/2006 11:38

yes the once - it's a spray, you use it every day for one week, and it WORKS! I bought it from the pharmacy counter at Sainburys

(and no, Lamisil aren't paying me to advertise, I'm a genuine satisfied customer)

Honeyflower - what was your atheletes foot like? I 've had itchy spots on the sole of one of my feet, and between the toes for about 6 months now, and I was beginning to wonder if it might be atheletes foot. It's really strange that it's just one foot....

Right DS, we're packing in bf so I can get my feet cured. Only kidding

I had athletes foot for the first time about three years ago. I tried treating it with Mycil powder and spray, but it didn't get any better. After several months of itchy agony, I eventually went to my lovely GP, who said "That Mycil is rubbish, get some Lamisil at once." So I bought the Lamisil cream, and within a week - the athlete's foot had disappeared! Now if it ever recurs, I use the Lamisil for a few days, and it soon gets rid of it. So I would wholeheartedly recommend it. By the way, I haven't tried the new one yet, which is supposed to need only one application, I've only used the one which you apply every day for a week.

so its best to wait till he buys his new boots and socks before he put the cream on for a week

I had bother with athletes foot when I was a kid and after trying every lotion and potion on the market the doc said to wear open sandals and go paddling in the sea every day for the whole summer hols. Believe it or not, this put it away and it only came back ten years later when I got attached to a pair of doc martens as a student!! Unfortunately I don't live by the sea any more or else I would be in there like a shot, but I can recommend the sea thing to anyone that is near the beach.

i've tried the lamisil once and feel as if it nearly worked, but it's back again as bad as ever - I must say I have probably not taken enough care of my feet in the meantime. I think i will try the every day for a week version, that sounds more helpful.
