The above website is very good and is also non woo.

This from their page may also prove helpful:-

Do you know tsh level? normal can be quite a range, I feel best when mine is around 1, I get awful symptoms when either too high or too low.

It's worth ticking your symptoms off on this list and printing to show your doc.

Then you need to ask what your TSH result was last time. If it is over 2, you should ask for as many of these tests as the doc will do:

TSH
FT4
FT3
TPO
TgAB
Vitamin D
Vitamin B12
Folate
Ferritin
FBC

Then when the results are in, ask for a print out (which you are entitled to - this is your data) and post them here for the regulars to chew over.

Owzat?

Thanks rockingd tsh was 1.73 but was tested after lunch so I don't know if that would mean it would have been over 2 had it have been done in the morning as the previous one when I asked on my last visit was recorded as 1.92 still apparently normal.

I've been using the list you mentioned and have between 19 & 23 of these marked everyday for the last 3 Weeks just hoping this is enough to get some of those additional tests done. The last Dr I saw not my normal one wouldn't entertain more tests but was more than happy to give me antidepressants which I refused as I can't see how they are going to help when i'm not depressed! Thanks

it's not always easy getting a dr to address thyroid problems have you had a antibody test?. Maybe worth asking for one, was how my thyroid issues were diagnosed.

hazeldawn1979 · 20/09/2013 12:07

That was a waste of time she reckons i'm depressed the only thing making me feel a little down is that no one is listening to me. Well I have to go again in a few Weeks to have my implant taken out so will mention again that i'm not feeling right. just don't know what else to do
