painful bladder/pelvic area

Can you have a UTI without going to the toilet often? I have what I think are symptoms of it, (sore painful pelvic area, sore bladder, pain in genital area). I am not going to the toilet often, but when I do, I am emptying lots and it hurts, but it also feels like relief of pain too. When done I continue having pain, in particular in genital area (the urethra I think as the pain goes from bladder to it). I have tried going a bit more frequently but I can't go unless my bladder is really full.

I have had this about a week. I am finding my stomach is a little bloated and if my trousers dig in a bit due to it, it makes my stomach pain a bit worse.

I am not pregnant.

I have a 'horseshoe kidney' which means I have one larger kidsney where the two joined as they developed in the womb. I only found this out last year when I had an MRI for something else, and it appears that it is asymptomatic as I have not suffered from UTIs particularly, had the odd one or two in my life, never had any meds for it other than once in pg when I had a kidney infection (before it was known In only have one), just drank more water, and apart from recognising the pain as feeling like bladder/urethra pain I don't remember the symptoms (apart from kidney infection, felt like I was being kicked in the kidneys, and in fact, thought I was, so ignored it for ages until I got a high fever!)

I am asking because, all the symptoms talk about frequent peeing, and I am not going very often at all.

And, I do have back pain. But, I have a back problem so I always have back pain! And I have just gone back to pilates so my back hurts in all places!

I would get it checked out anyway.

If you can have frequent peeing and bladder pain without the infection, I am sure it can be the other way around too. It is only one symptom.

Keep drinking :D

Summer, I hate drinking water! But yes, keeping it up as best as I can! Not spoken to doc yet no appts and no telephone appts available so got to wait until the morning. Boo. And typical as I have training and am the nominated driver. But. If I leave it then it will be a problem over the weekend. It's all pretty rubbish and I am starting to feel a bit off colour, slightly too warm, so hoping no fever on it's way.
