Would you visit the GP about this?

A bump (about the size of a pen eraser) on upper arm. Was itchy when I first noticed it but not so much now. It was pink and now I think it's going slightly yellow. It's not a spot, it's been slathered in all sorts of creams over the past 8 weeks it's not budging. The arm has very bad sunburn about 12 years ago if that has any bearing on it.

Would you visit the GP? DP says not to as its nothing but I'd rather be safe. I am a worrier by nature and am not sure what to do as I don't want to waste the doctors time!

Just go! You're only wasting time by not going, I have a mole on my lower abdomen, during pregnancy it went huge, changed shape etc. I did nothing, lo is 4 months and finally plucked up the courage to go after realising its not getting smaller and then panicked at the drs reaction to get it seen to urgently. Luckily the dermatologist didn't think it malignant although I've got to go back for a biopsy but i defo recommend just going now. It's probably nothing but so much better to know that now so you don't worry yourself any further about it.

Chin up and don't worry, even if it is something at least you're attending to it extremely early.

Xxx

Go, don't worry about little things. We can often reassure or refer in minutes. Reassurance is part of our job description

book the appointment. Clearly you are not the type to book in for a bruise!

GPs, like firemen would rather attend a problem early and find that it isn't a problem.
