Anyone else suffer? Have had it before and this bout was set off by having a bout of quickie sex before I was really properly lubricated. That was almost ten days ago - the burning, itching, swelling and pain around vulval area started within 24 hours and continues. (I have taken a fluconazole tablet for good measure but don't see any discharge so don't think it's thrush.) I had a similar bout of this last year and gynaecologist at GUM clinic gave me trimovate to use sparingly. I only remembered I still had it and started using it 3 days ago but not much improvement so far. Would be really interested to hear from anyone who has cracked this - it stings to buggery every time I pee and it is really wearing me down now.

I found it just wears off. I got flare ups for no reason, but they also settled down for no reason too.

I found Biofem Gel very soothing when I used to have a similar problem to you. I would also use it when I suspected I was going to have a bout of vaginitis, and I think it helped prevent or reduce the flare up.

New here to this page. Came to look specifically for this.

I think this is what I have, it's ruining my sex life. I have yet to go to the Dr but thought it was thrush. No discharge but stinging and burning especially after sex and really sore. Sorry tmi. And swollen!

Am so worried but will get to Dr. I've even tried almond oil as it soothes and lubricates and it feels lovely, but will go to Dr anyway incase.

How you get better.

Hope you get better...

You can have thrush without a discharge.
Best advice is see GP and have some swabs done, or take 2 doses of thrush treatment ( 2 weeks apart) and if that doesn't work the see dr.

Just thought I'd come back and say I remembered I had some of this organic oil based lubricant in the drawer and (after checking the ingredients!) I put some of it straight on my fanjo when it was still v sore - instant relief. used it for a few days as a treatment and all sorted. may have been coincidence but you never know!
