What's the best way to get rid of the tough cracked skin on my heels? (I don't want to use any of the urea-rich creams right now.) PUmice? Sandpaper? Before shower? After? In bath? Sideways? Up-and-down?

Any advice?

I'd have a bath and use a pumice to get rid of the worst before applying a rich cream of your choice. (Shame you don't want to use a urea-rich one as Flexitol is brilliant IMO and on offer 3 for 2 at Boots at present) Now this will sound odd ....but after applying cream, wrap your feet in some cling film or a plastic bag before putting on some socks and leave like that for as long as poss while you rest with your feet up, watching TV- any excuse! Sounds strange but it works.

Or go to a chiropodist, who can get it off with a scalpel.

Gingerbear · 13/06/2006 22:33

A dremmel sander?
Why no Flexitol?

PrettyCandles · 13/06/2006 22:40

Because I've read that excessive amounts of urea can be harmful to the foetus.

Not that I need an excuse for a long soak and a rest with my feet up, but now I've got an extra reason to do that! Thasnks.
