Can anyone recommend a good dentist in the South London area who offers dental implants. Plus should I consider Hungary, I hear they have good dentists. Thanks

And I'd like to know about the South East - Sussex/Hampshire. I've had the implants but need the crowns - very, very expensive in these parts so I, too, have considered going abroad.

This isn't something you should get abroad. You need several preliminary and follow up appointments, ideally from a team who are used to working together.

Please don't go abroad. You cannot be certain of who you see or their credentials. You cannot be certain of correct work up and continuing care. You may not have the consumer protection you'd have in this country. You might well have an amazing experience. But if you don't you'll be up shit creek. Most implantologists will offer a payment plan.

Have you considered going outside London and the South East for treatment. Much closer to home if you have problems and since the overheads are lower outside of London the costs are too.
A good implantologist will not do implants without first sending you for an MRI or 3D scan of your jaw to check that you have enough bone.
You may find that if you have them done abroad you will have to spend far more money having them fixed if it all goes wrong.
There was a programme on recently that highlighted the problems of cosmetic work when it goes wrong. One of the cases was a guy who had had multiple implants.
Do your research carefully. Recommendation is often the best indicator.
Also implants are not a once only treatment. They need regular maintenance and the crown/tooth part will need replacement from time to time so you need to factor this in for the future.
