Lymphoma. Worrying to much or fat! CAN'T SLEEP!!! HELP

Hi forum. I don't currently or in the past have lymphoma it's just one of my biggest worries in life. You can tell me to go the doc but I never do. Or when I do he tells me to stop putting everything down to cancer As I'm young and healthy. (22) I forever check my glands and if one swells I worry for weeks. 6 months ago I was I'll with a little cold and one of my glands had swollen. 6 months down the line it's still swollen all though now painless. It's very squishy and mobile and hasn't grown? Should I be worried. I'm also full of cold again and all the glands under my jawline have swollen. Should I be worried or am I just being stupid yet again. I don't no if its glands under my jaw either as when I hold my head up right they are normal but when I put my chin my my chest and feel them they feel huge!???? Could this just be fat/normal

Wheyyy...,yes I have I refuse to take meds at the minute as I am actually doing great. When I start to worry or obsess over something I just get up and get out the house. Anxietys then gone :)

I have just been learning about osophogus cancer. And for the first time I didn't think ohhh wait I could have this. So things are on the up at the minute

Well done you megan, it sounds like you're definitely making progress with your health anxiety. If you have meds that you have been prescribed, does your GP know that you've stopped taking them? Congratulations on your progress, long may it continue

No I disnt recive any. And guess what peoplw. Ive gone out and got my self a job. Feel like a bran new person

My DS has loads of these - the doc says they are just shotty glands and nothing to worry about.

I had an ovarian cyst last year that wasn't diagnosed at a scan. Eventually I had surgery to drain it. I was absolutely terrified it was serious. I became severely depressed over health anxiety and even became sucidal. Only the thought of my beloved dcs stopped me. I eventually got diagnosed with severe depression and am on medication for long term.

My fears too are related to cancer as my mum died from cancer. Believe me, the worst thing you can of is google, it tells you everything yet nothing as the info on there is not specific to your situation. Please go to your gp to discuss your anxieties. Don't let it fester ad I did. I genuinely made myself ill. For what it's worth, I had raised lymph nodes on my neck and I, terrified, went to my gp. He explained that, although it wasn't necessary he would do some blood tests to put my mind at rest. He also said that there would be other symptoms present. Needless to say the tests were all fine.

Try not to worry but really, you must go to your gp to resolve/control your anxieties x

My secret? If something was making me un happy ud change I. I was jobless=no social life. I wen and got a job. No I'm going to tackle my weight :)

My anxiety is a lot better. I knew I would never pluck up the coirage to go to a doctor so I looked hard at my life n figured out when mu anxiety was at its worst wich was when I was sat board... so I went out and applied for jobs and ginally got my perfect job at debwnhams. Still worry from time to time but my anxiety levels have totally calmed and I feel a all rpund better person. My lumps still there bitt no change still a little hard pea and ita been 6 months!! I feel fabulous
