hello ladies, i need your help! im 26 after my first baby and traumatic forceps delivery i have been left with posterior prolapse bulging at vagina entrance, back and leg pains, heavy feeling, groin pelvic pain, and i constantly need a wee. i am waiting for an op date for a repair i feel so low and petrified. im sick of it, i struggle with bad piles and bowel movement everything down there is just a mess. please has anyone had a successful op and feel better? was sex ok? was scar tissue bad, has anyone been able to have further babies?

thank you xxxx

kateandjack - you need to visit the any old prolapse thead or the childbirth injuries one - lots and lots of info there.

I had a rectocele/perineum repair last year. I have had to work hard on the bowel movement problems since but things are a lot better. It was a bit like having another baby for me (after 20 years) and it takes me a long time to get over general anaesthetic, but definitely worthwhile.

It is really worth making a big effort with the pelvic floor muscles and working hard on softening bowel movements before the op, as you will need to do this anyway and it can only help.
