I had my Gallbladder removed on Tuesday, home Wednesday and thought I had made the right decision to have it removed.

Had to go to see GP on Thursday as one of my wounds had opened, but thought that was the worst that was to happen.

Had a bowl of cereal later on and had really bad diarrhea, lots of pain where my Gallbladder was, had a ham roll later that night and diarrhea was just as bad, exactly how it was before my Gallbladder was removed.
Today I had a small amount of plain chicken and plain rice and within 10 minutes I was running to the toilet and it was bright green.
The pain tonight is unbearable but I dont know if this is normal.
Not sure if any of this is normal.
Help!!

Thanks

It sounds like you do definitely need to be in there. Hope the CT scan sorts out what is still wrong.
The discharge doctor doesnt sound nice.Glad your CPN is going to try and come in to see you.

Ffs some doctors have no bloody clue. When you feel a bit stronger please complain, it's the only way to stop people making such dreadful comments.

Really hope you get sorted soon x

Oh no you poor thing!

This happened to my Mum and they accused her of being an alcolholic as her liver results were abnormal Shock Do you have anyone who can stand up for you? The only way we finally found out what was wrong with mum was when we went in and got cross and demanded to see the consultant! Mum had stones and sludge stuck in her bile duct which didn't initially show up on scans. She ended up having an ERCP, where they put in a stent for the stones to slip through.

Don't let them bully you (although that is easier said than done!)

Glee-I know someone who was as well. Convinced she was an alcoholic, she is tea total!

Yes Mum was pretty well a sherry on Christmas day kind of lady - couldn't have been further from the truth but she was devastatedSad

I'm home and I never want to experience that again.
Spent all of Thursday crying, CT and ultra sound scans were both clear so that was good mostly but in a small way I needed there to be something there that explained this pain and so I didn't look like some mad person, which is what they were making feel like.

My cpn was actually really good, she listened to me in between sobs and snotty noes's(sp) and then spoke to the nurses who I'm guessing spoke to the dr who couldn't have been nicer at teatime rounds, she even called me hunny Hmm but she asked if I wanted to go home and that they had done all the tests but she thinks my body just wasn't fit for the operation to start with and what would normally take a couple of weeks to get over is going to take me even longer
Just wish they could have said all this at the start or at least been more understanding of why I was in such a state.

Two things I have got out of this are my cpn really came through for me, something I never thought I would have and I will never go into hospital again voluntary or conscious.

Glad your cpn came through for you.
I hope you feel able to be able to go to hospital if needed. May never be needed though.

Is there someone home to help you, now that the kids are at their dads?

Thanks, my friend has been popping in, yesterday I had a big surge of energy but today I feel like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards but I'm sure as the days go it it will get better.

Hope you're feeling better today. I ended up back in hospital after my gallbladder was removed a few years ago, and it was roughly the same thing - system just taking longer to recuperate. They mentioned that because I had been in hospital for diverticular disease for a couple weeks, then pregnancy and had baby immediately after, then gallbladder that my body had been simply not recovered sufficiently to cope well with the gallbladder surgery.
