Not painful when I sit or stand but lower back hurts or goes into spasm if I walk . It is impacting on my life as you can imagine. I am ex nurse so guess it is partly caused by that .
I am doing exercises and wearing trainers . Can anyone recommend a back support that might help ?

It varies but I dare not walk far at all at the moment . Thanks.

Can you self refer to physio? I had similar, had 40 minutes with someone that knew what they were doing and it was great. I then knew what was going on etc and ot recovered quickly.

Accupuncture works for me. Expensive but can make a massive difference.

Chiropractor and pilates works for me.

Spasm occurs to protect an injury. V painful. See your GP and ask for physio or else see one privately. Ask around for recommendations.

I see an osteopath who really helps my lower back pain.

Is it the back or the sacroiliac joint? I've tried a chiropractor, but basic pilates should help too. I went to see my GP complaining of back ache but she checked and confirmed that the problem was the sacroiliac - though couldn't suggest more than ibuprofen/paracetemol and a possible referral to NHS physio session.
