I'm 10 weeks pregnant and went to see my GP with unusual discharge which I thought might be thrush. The GP did a swab which has come back as negative for thrush and bacterial vaginoses but positive for white blood cells. the GP told me this shows I have an infection and she suggested I get tested for chlamydia. I'm so shocked by this. I was last tested in 2005 and have been with DH since then. I've no reason at all to believe he's been unfaithful. I guess it's possible DH infected me at the start of our relationship, but would it be possible to have chlamydia for 8 years and have absolutely no symptoms until now? I've also had loads of infertility investigations which have shown nothing abnormal. DH has been tested too and has a low sperm count but nothing else. I really think it's unlikely to be chlamydia but if not what else could cuase this?

Don't know, but white cells doesn't mean chlamidia necessarily. Someone I know ha that diagnosis and it turned out they had a blockage in their urethra causing infections!

Yes, white blood cells just means infection maybe. She probably wants to test for cjlamydia specifically as it can cause issues.

We all spell your diagnosis very differently Wink

Thanks. What other sort of infection could it be though? I'm really worried in case it could affect the baby
