Embarassing sweating

hi,

have never had this problem as much as recently. 46 and have started peri menopause symptoms such as night sweats. I wonder if the following could be related.

with the hot weather I find that even if I shower and use a good deodrant (mitchum) I have wet patches under my arms at work after a couple of hours. It is so embarassing. today I went home at lunchtime and changed my top. I always wear cotton tops etc.

I am very aware of it and it seems to make it worse. any bright ideas.

Taking Menolieve containing Black Cohosh root has really helped alleviate my hot flushes, it took a couple of weeks for me to see the effects but now I wouldn't be without it.

Persperix or Triple Dry might help with the underarms, you use them at night, wash off in the morning then use your regular deodorant in the morning.

Driclor is fab. Use it every night for a couple of weeks and then only need to use it once a week.

Another vote here for driclor, it's fab. I ve always had a perspiration problem but a few years ago discovered this, it's changed my life.

I use driclor too (have suffered since I was 12). It is amazing. It stings like crazy to start with but is fine after a while.

Another one who uses Driclor its brilliant. I never got used to the sting but its so worth it.

Ask your Gp for advice, you may be able to have it treated with Botox on the nhs.

topsi · 23/06/2013 08:49

you can have Botox under your arms. It is very effective

Driclor is really effective but too harsh on my skin (constant itching and soreness after the first couple of uses), so I use Triple Dry. Not as instantly effective as Driclor but still very good stuff!
