heavy and painful legs (and some visible veins)

over the last view years my legs started to get increasingly painful and often they feel awfully heavy too. this has gotten worse during my pregnancies esp since having DC2 (2.6).

over the last 6 month is has gotten even worse. I often have trouble sleeping at night as my legs are throbbing so much.

I exercise whenever possible, avoid standing/sitting for ling periods, drink enough and put my legs up frequently. i am not overweight either. I also have some visible varicose veins and wonder if this is a vein problem. i am not even 40 yet ffs

my GP is a but useless so I haven't seen her about it yet.I know she will just send me home with some painkillers.

anybody else with the same problem. any advice?
Ta.

I have this. I wish I had an answer for it too. I'm a teacher, and sometimes it is so bad at night I can't sleep

I had my first varicose vein surgery at 34 my veins were very large, vet visible and itched when warm. They have to be really awful for the NHS to do anything I am very fortunate and have really comprehensive private medical care which paid for my surgery - the really pricy bit is the specialist colour flow Doppler imaging at £730 for 20 mins 7 years ago.

I had my varicose veins treated on Nhs about 5 yrs ago. Not striped, but foam sclerotherapy. Injections into various parts of vein which eventually stop blood flow (I think). So ask your gp about that. I need my other leg doing now, as can get really throbby and uncomfortable :(. I am 39 btw.

Completely, and makes legs look better after about a year . Really worthwhile, there was about a 6 to 9 month wait, not sure how long it would be now?

thanks
