Dermoid cyst on ovary

I'm about 6 weeks pregnant.
Went for an early scan a couple of weeks ago as was having pains and had no idea about my periods as this pregnancy was a (happy) surprise due to being on the pill. They couldn't see baby so said I'm probs too early and checked my hcg which showed it was too early but it's going up as it should be (more than doubling in fact) so I'm going back for another scan on Sunday.

However they said that they found a 'complex cyst' and a simple cyst on my ovary and the doctor told me the complex one was a dermoid cyst. I asked if it was cancer and she said 'not at this moment in time.' Which makes me worry a bit. Anyone had one of these? Do I need it removing? A bit scared :(

I had a dermoid cyst removed at 9+2wks pregnant with DS1. It measured 9cm but had twisted on my Fallopian tube and I had a necrotic ovary and tube. Tests showed it was benign and apart from a tense pregnancy, all was ok and I have a healthy nearly-6yr old. PM me if you want any more info

I had one on each ovary, only discovered at my twelve week scan. One was 5cmx6cm and the other was 8cm x 6cm. They didn't do anything and said I could have them removed after I gave birth if I wanted, they really didn't seem worried about them and my midwife didn't even know what they were.
As it turns out I had an EMCS and thought I'd chance it and ask them to take them out while they were in there! No problems since but I haven't really had any follow up on it.
I think they can take them out while you are pregnant but if they aren't bothering you I would just wait until after. No one mentioned cancer to me, I think that's quite rare that they would turn cancerous so try not to worry.
