Why would I get a recurrent blood blister on the same part of my cheek (inside my mouth)?

Why? It's been a year at least now - not a big deal, but why? Not bitten my cheek...

The reason I ask is that it has just formed again - for no discernible reason - in exactly the same place as always....

Could you possibly be grinding your teeth while you sleep and biting the inside of your cheek in the process?

notapizzaeater · 31/05/2013 22:24

If its there a year I'd be asking the dentist/doctor to check it out.

AKissIsNotAContract · 31/05/2013 22:25

Have you been to the dentist? Something recurring for a year needs checking out

potatofactory · 31/05/2013 22:29

Thanks all - def not grinding I don't think - it happens during the day.

Doctor or dentist?

Anyone heard of such a thing before?

Thanks again

I have been to the dentist in the last year, but didn't mention it - it wasn't there at the time...

I'm a dentist and I'd say this needs to be checked by a dentist

potatofactory · 31/05/2013 22:47

Thanks - I'll make an appointment with my dentist.

Are you allergic to anything? I get blood blisters in my mouth due to food intolerances and allergies.

potatofactory · 31/05/2013 23:08

Ooh I don't know if I'm allergic to any foods - I get eczema & hay fever quite firmly though!

It is usually a slight pinching of the skin by your teeth when eating that you don't notice is happening. I have had one in the same place come and go. Also white coloured, painless ones.

You should see a dentist just incase, though.
