Just routinely prodding around last night and found a hard small lump deep down in my left breast. I know statistically it's likely to be nothing but am panicking! Going to see gp this afternoon but handholding would be helpful :))

Hi, I was just interested to hear how u got on over the past week or two. My story is exactly the same as yours. I'm going to go back to the GP next week if I can still feel the lump. In this meantime Ian a bit of a nervous wreck but mostly hiding it quite well. Do let me know and good luck.

Excuse the typos, really should check before posting!

I have had this twice. The larger firm 'thing' you talk about will be there in your other breast too. But get to your GP, you will be referred v fast, and you will have a scan and/or a biopsy. Try not to worry, the stats say its likely to be nothing

Cancerous tumours in the breast are not usually tender/painful to touch. I have been a couple of times for tender lumps, sent to breast clinic where they were always fibrous/benign tissue lumps.
Infact, I was told I just had lumpy breasts Confused.
There is a special method of testing and it is not 'prodding', more of a circular upwards movement .
