Hi everyone,
2 and a bit weeks ago I had like a tummy bug.. no vomiting few loose stools mega cramps felt sick couldnt eat was completely wiped out for 2.days.

It took about a week to get my appite back.

2 weeks and 3 days later I still have tummy problems.
One minute im constipated then next I have diarrhoea.
Achey legs on and off,
Very windy noisy tummy. Feel slightly nauseous in evening.
Slightly bloated but I have so much wind in there.

Silly me googled and now think I have ovarian cancer :(

The bloating caused by OC is very, very different from the bloating caused by wind and my doctor explained how and why to me.

I went through exactly this panic for the same reason as you a couple of months ago. Bloating caused by OC is permanent, does not come and go at all and is more severe than anything wind can do. It's caused by fluid rather than gas so moves differently.

The chances of you having OC or CC are very remote indeed. This sounds much more like good old IBS, and the aching legs could easily be from tension & anxiety - which is NOT just all in the mind, it really does produce actual physical symptoms.

You have a stomach bug and health anxiety

Roshbegosh · 27/04/2013 10:40

Health anxiety disorder. See a psychologist.

I have ovarian cancer and my symptoms were notlike the ones you describe.

The one thing I knew all along whilst I was going through diagnosis was that my prolems weren't related to the digestive system. I was told it was constipation at one point but I knew it was a completely different type of pain.

One of my main symptoms was excruciating low down pain and uncontrolled vomitting.

It sounds very unlikely you have cancer but it was never the diagnosis I was expecting and if you are worried I would seek medical advice. None of us here are qualified to tell you it is all in your mind, and it sounds as if you need your mind putting at rest and some help sorting out your uncomfortable sounding symptoms.

Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

It sounds like IBS or your system is still upset after having a tummy bug. Watch what you are eating in case something is upsetting it.
I have to be careful about eating wheat after having a bug, it causes pain bloating etc.

Try to limit your wheat intake as this is highly irritating to the bowel.

cocolepew · 27/04/2013 21:47

You should get a decent probiotic, in tablet form. The best need to be keep in the fridge
