Just booked Dd MMr but am scared

I have just booked Dd 1st MMr jab and now I am worrying. My DP and I have looked onto it and decided to go through with it but I am alittle scared still.

It seems we parents are having to try a decide which is the lesser of two evils. Not vaccinate and risk the illnesses or vacinnate and risk autism. I am finding it so hard and am so scared that my decision COULD determine the rest of my daughters life.

Anybody else fell the same?

The MMR is probably safe for the majority bluejelly, but even the Cochrane report used by the govt as a great coup for the pro MMR lobby actually concluded that the research to prove MMR was safe or not was woefully inadequate.

How terrible for you and your family amyjade. You're so right about the importance of vaccinations. Lucky us for being so rich and privileged that we can dither over whether we think mmr is a good idea or not. Most mothers round the world don't have the opportunity to protect their children from diseases at all.

ruty · 18/05/2006 21:09

doesn't mean vaccine safety should not be improved.

dd had hers seperate , cost over £400 she is now 8, when it was time for ds to have his we thought about it long and hard but decided to go with mmr, ds was a fab baby, developed at normal rate, babbleing early, sat up on time, crawled on time, walked at 10moths. he had the jab a little later than he should have at 17months.

my baby has now been diognosed with autism, he is dyspraxic and has social communication disorder.

i cant help but think the mmr had something to do with it, i dont know, all i know is b4 the mmr my little boy was a normal happy developing child.
