Regular headaches upon waking in morning?

Does anyone else experience these?

I've always been a very 'headachey' person - I suffered badly when pg and had a low level pretty permanent 2 day headache just before my period. I've always been prone to headaches.

However sometimes I go through phases of having headaches as soon as I wake up. I take a paracetamol and it goes before long. However, I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else? What could possibly be going on in my head (stress, tiredness etc) whilst I'm asleep??

I had it checked last year after a funny turn on half a glass of champagneGrin - it was fine. It's always been fine throughout both pregnancies.

I will check it out though. I think I'll have to face the fact that its my weightHmm. Last year I lost a stone and DH said my snoring was better. I have put it back on since though.

I never thought about sleep apnea. I thought you'd have to be mega overweight to suffer with that. That means I probably am. Oh depressing.

You don't have to be mega overweight, there are a number of factors that can lead to sleep apnoea. However, you will be asked to lose weight to see if that helps - but it's worth being referred so they can check you over properly.

My DH (also sleep apnoea but of an insane variety) swears by the Tempur pillows, so I would try that along with improving hydration and, yes, losing some weight.

I don't want to worry you but a headache that you always get on waking that disappears during the day definitely needs investigating.

I get this when my lung function is poor. Ask the GP to refer you to respiratory clinic and they'll monitor this for you, and you can follow advice to improve it.
