I hate mouth ulcers; I feel so miserable

I can't eat, I can't even sleep

I've had to take 2 co-codamol to enable me to eat a sandwich & I have no appetite

I can't even clean my teeth properly

My brother has really bad RA - Highest (something or other) score in Sweden

Fair enough - thought it was worth asking as it's one of the more unusual ones. I've been investigated for every systemic inflammatory condition under the sun due to recurrent bouts of iritis but turned out to have none, too!

How about ankylosing spondylitis? Mouth ulcers are a symptom with that too.

I used to get horrible ones (they've stopped & I don't know why or I'd tell you) but a good cure is to cut a clove of garlic & put the cut surface on the ulcer for as long as you can bear.

Hurts like fuck because its antiseptic, but every time I've done it the ulcer was healing by the next morning (as in the pain was good as gone). Smelly breath though!

If you have a steroid inhaler or nasal spray such as beclemethesone, spray a bit on it, it works wonders! ( pharmacist told me on seeing the size of mine) it's the steroid that heals it so quickly. Corlan pellets are being rebranded as hydrocortisone pellets and they work too.

Iglu, bongela, anbesol, etc are all useless apart from pain relieving properties in them such as lidocaine.

I agree with the people that recommend a different toothpaste. Sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate free (SLS). After many trials of the various sorts, I have settled on Weleda brand as my current favourite.
