my ds had his at 18months

FuzzyWuzzyFuzzFuzz · 01/05/2006 22:20

DS1 still hasn't had his yet and he's 23 months.

Constant illness inc repeated chest and lung infections I felt his body couldn't handle it yet.

We'll be having in done over the next 4-6 weeks and when I feel the time is right and he's well.

brimfull · 01/05/2006 22:37

My ds was 2 when he had his mmr

milward · 01/05/2006 22:38

My dd3 had hers at 2ys - nothing was mentioned.

Jimjamskeepingoffvaxthreads · 01/05/2006 22:40

Nope. If ds2 and ds3 have it they'll have it (or singles) aged 9 or 10.

Linnet · 01/05/2006 22:42

My dd2 had hers last week at the age of 23 months

ItalianJob · 02/05/2006 00:13

I was given the MMR when I was 14!!! (for some reason wasn't given the rubella jab at school, so when I went to GP he only offered the MMR, not a single jab).

threebob · 02/05/2006 00:57

Don't give it in NZ until 18 months - so it would be fine.

JackieNo · 02/05/2006 06:57

My DD had hers when she was called for her pre-school booster at about 4 (and then had her pre-school booster about six months later).

LadyTophamHatt · 02/05/2006 07:02

ds2 had his at 3.5 yrs
ds3 hasn't had his yet at 2.7yrs.

biglips · 02/05/2006 09:21

The US gives an MMR to teens/young adults b/c the efficacy can wear off on vaccines given as infants or children, leaving adults vulnerable to these diseases.
