Hi
I have been achey since giving birth almost 4 months ago (I don't BF anymore). I have aches in my feet when I wake up in the morning and also after sitting on the sofa for a while, I find it hard to walk as my knees hurt.... I am 38, but still!!
I also have tendonitis in both wrists.
Anyone else?
Thanks

I had the same, apparently is quite common, maybe try codliver oil.

I've had that since ds was born, I now wake up most mornings with sore feet, the bones feel sore and I find walking up or down stairs sore on my knees. My hand, wrists and fingers are also weak. My ds is nearly 1!

I already had these joint pains before Ds4 was born, but they got a lot worse after. When I cut wheat and gluten out of my diet completely, for other reasons, it resolved within a week - no joint pain at all now. Unless I accidentally eat gluten.

As I understand it, developing arthritis after children is quite common ... Gluten and other wheat proteins are very inflammatory so can make it worse or maybe even cause it in the first place.

Cats, your post is an exact description of my feet pain... Hands were the same... Putting them on the flooring the morning was agonyHmm as the bones spread out.

I had the exact same thing after DD(8) was born - maybe for about a year. However, one day it just stopped, but I didn't even notice it had. Getting out of bed in the morning was def the worst.

I didn't know that about wheat and gluten...could you develop an intolerance even though you were ok with them before?

I haven't asked my doctor about it because I'm still bf and didn't know if that had something to do with it?! And I feel a bit like I shouldn't complain!

It isn't there everyday but most...I'm 34 but like an old woman getting out of bed and it's almost funny the way I climb yhe stairs Grin

Well that reassures me as it is exactly how I feel, I mentioned it in passing to my GP but she sounded surprised and said it was probably a lack of general fitness.

I have also developed De Quervain syndrome in both wrists and now my elbow aches too! I make 'oooh' 'aaaah' sounds when I get up!

Yes cats... People often develop a problem with wheat/gluten over years or decades, after having been fine with it previously, and just put the inflammation symptoms down to "old age"??.

Easy enough to find out if this is the cause of your joint pains, just cut out gluten totally for a month and see what happens ( you need to completely cut it out so read all the labels!). You may find you feel quite flu like for a few days, but will soon feel much much better if the gluten is the cause of your pains.
