Just been to the GP with dd (aged 15) and this is the probable diagnosis.

It's not itching at the moment, which is great, but she hates the idea that the rash may last for weeks!
A quick google suggests that people have had success speeding the disappearance of the rash using UV light (sunbeds) and using Head and Shoulders shampoo as a body wash.
I wouldn't be happy with her using sunbeds (think she is too young anyway), but wondered if anyone here has had any success with H&S?
If anyone has had PR, how long did it take to go?

Many thanks

My dd had this. Rash lasted weeks to be honest. Never tried h&s drs never mentioned it. And tbh I would be wary of using anything that harsh on such fragile skin.

I just moisturized as skin was so very dry.

I had it last summer and, as it was during a hot spell, I did sunbathe in the garden for about half an hour a day. The rash was gone in about a week!

Can understand your reluctance re: sunbeds, but in my experience it does help. No experience with H&S I'm afraid.

I had this years ago (as a young adult) and it did take quite a while to go. I hired a sunbed and used it a few minutes a day, but ofcourse I have no idea if it helped. No one mentioned head and shoulders and in any case I have allergies to many shampoos. I just had to wear opaque tights and long sleeves - it was also winter. Hope it clears up faster than mine.

Thanks all.
I think it is illegal for under 16s to use sunbeds, and not much chance of sunbathing here at the moment! The H&S can't do any harm so may give it a go.
I don't think GP was totally sure of the diagnosis anyway. There wasn't an obvious "herald" patch. Thank heavens it doesn't usually appear on the face.
